5 year stats

Vince had his 5 year check-up today.  He weighed in at 41 lbs and measured 43 inches tall.  He chatted it up with the Dr and all was well UNTIL he said the word "shots" then everything fell apart.  Not only did he have to get 2 shots but he also had to get a finger stick for a blood test.  Suffice it to say, we were probably the talk of the office today.  I'm sure he wasn't the first nor the last to make such a scene (4 nurses and myself holding him down to get shots while he screamed at the top of his lungs) but while you're in the middle of it and everyone is staring at you....it sucks, plain and simple.  Note to self : next time, daddy's coming along!
