Tackling Mickey

Dom started practicing for his place on the Steelers tonight......poor Mickey.

Our weekend

I had a few errands to run on Saturday.  I had only been gone all of 15 minutes when I get a text from Tony telling me to get home quick and that Vince had cut his finger on his pocket knife.  My heart sank a little and when I walked in the front door to find a trail of blood from the door into the kitchen, I freaked out a lot.  Vince was calm but as soon as he saw me, he lost it and wouldn't let anyone touch it.   We weren't sure if he'd need stitches or not so we headed out to KidMed to be safe.  Turns out it wasn't as bad as it seemed and he wouldn't need stitches after all, thank goodness.  With 2 boys in the house, I'm sure this is only the first of many trips to KidMed/ER.  They're probably gonna know us by name once Dom gets a little older.
Luckily, he only needs his thumbs to play his Nintendo 3DS or he would've been really upset!
Here's the other trouble maker...but he was actually being good and "reading" for awhile.
I think transitioning to milk next month will be smooth as he's already started to wean himself off of bottles....this kid LOVES food.  You name it, he'll eat it.  Tonight Tony and I had taco salads and Vince had spaghettios...Dom had bites of each and loved them.  He especially liked the ground beef of our salads and the meatballs in spaghettios!!  I couldn't believe it.  This is gonna be so different than feeding Vince.  I also let him try the finer things...like chocolate pudding.
Yeah, he really liked it.  Just to showcase the difference between the two:  Vince got a small spot of pudding on his shirt and he asked if he could take it off and I could wash it....then I looked at Dom who was covered in pudding and enjoying every minute of it.  Wow.  There's a reason he's earned his nickname "hellian".
We also had a visit from Uncle Rob and Aunt Judy this morning.  Vince and Rob played baseball (yes, Rob is wearing Vince's helmet).
Then we went out to breakfast....where Dom ate everything in sight.  I'm pretty sure breakfast in public with 2 kids was just the birth control they needed!
We then came home and both boys and myself took a 2 hour nap...it was AMAZING!  All in all it was a good weekend...a few lessons learned (on Vince's and Daddy's behalf) and a few good friends.

Its a bird, its a plane.....

ITS SUPER VINCE!!!!!
So, he's gonna HATE me one day for these pics....but he was totally digging it when I was taking them.

I sure do love this little superman!

What we've been up to...

I've been neglectful of the blog the last few weeks but there's not a lot to report.  We had some fun times with our friends and had a couple of fun mommy days.  I still can't believe we have a big day coming up soon....I have so much more to do....must stop pinning and start doing.

Here's big man Eli:
Dom is 2 months older but Eli is catching up quick....
2 babies looking at the camera at the same time....that's gotta be a record or something.
Vince got some quality Hannah time.  They played basketball....
 dress up...
 and watched The Lorax...
We went to the Children's Museum....
There was a lot more for Dom to do there than Vince....
Vince started picking out his Christmas presents...
Tonight we had dinner with Erin and the girls.  We went to Johnny Rockets because Vince LOVES when they sing and dance (and he wanted a milkshake).  It was entertaining for everyone.  The babies ate a whole container of puffs and watched while their big siblings danced along WITH the waiters.
I had to get a pic of Ellie and Dom together to compare to Vince and Hannah's picture at about the same age.
 Here's a comparison:
