July Sky

July Sky is more than what we see outside every day....it's the new color of the nursery! That's right, Dominic's room is finally 99.9% DONE and I love it! Let's take a tour shall we......

Dinosaurs and Bowling Oh My

Today was a packed mommy day! I've been taking him to school more often on my days off even if just for half the day so I can rest but I decided today we'd spend the day together. I'm exhausted but it was worth it!

We started off the morning making dinosaur fossils: (sorry that the picture quality is pretty bad....all I had handy was my phone)

Then we dug for dinosaurs.....I underestimated how messy it would be to bury dinosaurs in rice and let a 3 year old dig them out. He LOVED it though. We experimented with different tools (tongs and spoons and he even brushed them off at the end).

Then we were off to story time to see Hannah and ate lunch with Grandma. Any idea what we did after nap??? I'll give you one guess.......

Yep, we went BOWLING! I hadn't really considered it till I saw some friends blog about it. It was so much fun! I tried to play the first game with him but I was tired after the first 2 frames (yes, I'm that fat and uncomfortable) but he enjoyed playing mine and his games.







Here's the final score.....but keep in mind he played all but 2 of my frames. I bought him another round after this and he scored an even 100.

I think it's safe to say we'll be back for more.....especially since I found out kids can play for free if I register him (which of course I did as soon as we got home). Hope everyone is staying cool in the dreadful heat.

Big Bro

I took Vince to a sibling class this weekend. I think he was a little disappointed that there weren't actually any babies there....but we pretended with our teddy bear. He learned how to change a diaper:

Swaddle him:
And then he got a certificate proving that he was ready to be a big brother:
I learned that my child likes to be the superstar of the class, who always has the answers, and who likes to talk and talk and talk and talk.....and then talk more. I sure do appreciate his teachers a little more :)

Who is this kid?

Anybody remember this picture from our first trip to the pool last year???? The glasses are hiding his tears but you can see the snot and the death grip on me and that sippy cup.

Wait a minute...is the water up to his chin??

Yep, clearly an alien abducted my child.....that's the only reasonable explanation.


Instead of fighting to get him in the water, it was a fight to leave. We had so much fun! We will definitely go back soon!
