First word

We've been practicing it for a week or two and he finally said it.......

Puffs

Dom's finally getting the hang of Puffs....he loves trying to pick them up with those chubby little fingers...

 Occasionally they make it into his mouth and he giggles every time.

You may not be able to tell but I gave Dom his first (and long overdue) haircut today.  I couldn't handle the combover anymore.  I'm definitely not ready to quit my day job but it looks pretty decent.  I never thought I'd have to give a kid who can't even hold his head still a haircut but boy did he need it!

Comfort

Last night we got to go out with our friends for a group date night sans children and it was FABULOUS!  We met up downtown at Comfort....an amazing southern style restaurant.  Roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, green beans....oh and lots of wine.  YUMMM!

Unfortunately, Justin and Sara had to leave after dinner to get home to Eli but Erin K, Krebbs, Tony, and I went out for more drinks.  

Such a great night out with friends.  We needed that!  

Our lives via Instagram

I browsed through my iPhone pics today and wanted to share a few Instagram photos from the last few weeks (since I haven't been very good at posting)....

We all went to the mall one evening when the weather was nice.  Vince enjoyed a huge pretzel....

 while Dom tried his first strawberry milkshake (courtesy of his daddy)....he loved it by the way...

 One mommy day I was lucky enough to get to nap with BOTH boys AT THE SAME TIME....this never happens....

 Last week was grandpa's 75th birthday.  Dom and I took him to brunch at Cracker Barrell.

 Silly Vince tried cramming himself in a toy tote....it got lots of giggles from his little brother (especially when he fell over)

 Sharing and playing together...this lasted approximately 10 seconds, until Dom crashed Vince's tower...

 This special one is from TODAY.  Poor Dom has pink eye :(  How long till my little carrier monkey gives it to the rest of us?  Any guesses?

Yeah, I'll probably be paying the Minute Clinic at my store a visit tomorrow....

Party in my crib

Dom likes to party....he hung out just playing in his crib while I snuck in a shower today.  Since Noni told me he rolled all over the house yesterday and we don't have baby gates back up yet, I figured he would be safe here.

Part of me has been wanting so much for him to start napping in his crib so I can get laundry and dishes and other crap done but as this sweet little boy fell asleep in my arms today, I decided to say screw it.  He's not gonna want to sleep in my arms for long so I need to enjoy it now!!!  All that other crap is just that and it can wait.  In other words, don't be surprised if you come to my house and you have to eat off of paper plates and I'm wearing the same jeans I wore 3 days ago.  

On a side note:  I discovered something sticking out of his bottom gums.....looks like someone is FINALLY getting some teeth!

Beautiful weather

The weather was perfect this weekend (maybe even a little too hot!)....so we hung out outside for awhile and played soccer....while Dom chilled with his toys

My heart melts when they cuddle...so sweet!

Bubbles bubbles everywhere

Vince wanted to introduce Dom to the joy of bubbles.....

 it was ok at first.....

but then it went down hill quickly.....

so the jury is still out...we'll try again another day :)

Audrey's Birthday

Saturday, we went to Audrey's 3rd birthday party at the Children's Museum.  She is the cutest little girl....ever!   

 The kids got to color....

 play "keep it off the ground"....

 then Audrey opened her presents....

 and they chowed down on cake.....

 These 2 are trouble when they get together!

We had so much fun celebrating Audrey's big day!  Happy Birthday sweet girl!
