Weekend getaway

We made another trip to The Kingsmill Resorts with the Krebbs this weekend. We didn't really have any plans, just an excuse to get out of town and let the kids play till they literally crashed. Here is our building:
They played at the playground for about 1.5 hours....and were drenched in sweat by the end.

Then came back and shared some goldfish and lots and lots of water:
Erin and I went shopping (YAY) then brought back dinner and took them for a nice walk (which really just amounted to Vince running circles around us):

This kid is unstoppable:
Or is he???
Our trip wasn't nearly long enough. Sunday morning we got up early, watched cartoons, ate really expensive room service cookies for breakfast (hilarious story behind that), and went for another walk (so I could take more pics) then got on the road to head home.

There's actually a LOT more pics but I didn't wanna bore you so I picked out the best. It was a busy weekend but a lot of fun. Hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Day Weekend.....for once, I have a 4 day weekend! Hip Hip Hooray!

Nursery Decor

Ok, so after much deliberation I narrowed down the nursery bedding to the following 3 choices (down from 9). Please help me decide! There's a poll posted on the top right side of the site.
We did the sports theme with Vince so I wanted something different.
#1 - Transportation
#2 - Pirates
#3 - Monkeys

Easter Seals

Today was the day I've been preparing for the last few months......and I'm so glad it's over! The Easter Seals Walk With Me 5k took place at University of Richmond's Westhampton Lake today. 190 walkers came out....about 50 of whom were from CVS.
Here's me and my girls before the walk:
Yep, the kids have water and snacks and a wagon - they're ready to go!
Tony and Krebbs took turns lugging that extra 70lbs (lovingly referred to as our children). They may not have been happy with Erin and I here as we ducked out after lap 2 (of 5) and sat in the gazebo to rest.
But don't feel too bad for the men and kids, they joined us after lap 3:

Have I mentioned how great this kid's smile is? I have?? Ooops!
Here's some of my team coming across the bridge to start the last lap.....while we continued to rest :)
Then the kids found the bouncy house....and it was all over. They better sleep good today!
Finally, here's me and my amazing staff! Our team won the award for largest team (28 members...obviously not all are pictured here)! Our team raised about $3000 but our region (state of VA) raised almost $35,000! So proud of everyone!

BUBBLES

Vince got a bubble fountain thing (and this cool Richmond Flying Squirrels shirt) for his birthday so we tested that bad boy out tonight. Kids freaking love bubbles!
Isn't this the greatest smile EVER???

Jumping over the bubble fountain thing.....
again.....
and again.....
Such a happy kid! I love him!

3 Year Stats

We had Vince's 3 year check-up today. He impressed the doctor with his conversation skills (meaning he talked the entire time) and his ability to write his name already. He weighed in at 33.5 lbs and measured 38 inches....both in the 50th percentile. We told her we were still working on potty training and that we were great peeing on the potty but not always great at pooping. He quickly told her "Poop happens"....sure glad I cleaned that saying up when I told him that a few weeks ago :) Since the appointment though, my big guy has pooped on the potty twice so maybe we're making good progress!

On another note: I've been REALLY wanting to get Vince's old clothes out to get them washed and ready for Dominic so I stopped at our storage unit today. 3 huge packed to the brim totes later I have sorted through the 0-6month clothes. Yep, 3 totes for just the first 6 months. Maybe it's time I admit to a shopping problem....maybe.
