Spring Arts and Crafts

As my intern, Kim, pointed out I've been off work for like 11 days (yep, even worse than you thought, Kim) and have barely posted any blogs. Staycation flew by way too fast then I got really sick Saturday night and have been fighting something crappy since then. I swear its the flu even though the test was negative. Luckily my boys have managed to stay healthy. Anyway, here are a few arts and crafts that we did before I got sick.

I love this rainbow, though it was hard keeping those little fingers clean in between colors:
A 4-leaf clover and ladybug:
Pretty daffodils for mommy:
And my favorite....an Easter Egg tree. I found some eggs at Michaels and let him paint them thinking we would do some dinosaur egg thing but then I saw this tree and birdhouse at Target's dollar section (have I mentioned that I LOVE Target?) and voila...our first Easter decoration.
I'm going to attempt to go to work tomorrow. Hopefully, I don't regret it!

Vince's Family

Tony and I got to pick Vince up from school together yesterday (which never gets to happen!) and we found this picture in his cubby. Tony quickly noticed that there were 4 of us.....do you see them?
Once we got in the car, I asked Vince who each one was and this is what he told me:
When I pointed to the "baby" he actually said, "this is the baby that's in your tummy"....ummm, how did my kid get so darn smart?

Mr. Grumpy Pants

I've been so bad at taking pictures lately (mostly b/c all I want to do is sleep), but with the weather being so nice today I dusted off the camera in hopes of a few good shots. Unfortunately, a sweet little boy laid down for a nap but Mr. Grumpy Pants woke up in his place. This is the type of picture I got for the first few minutes:
And then that mean terrible wind started blowing (which he clearly didn't appreciate) and he started spitting and screaming at the wind......in case anyone is wondering, he IS his father's son :)
But fear not, we cheered up with a quick game of Hide N Seek.
Finally, a few smiles:
Maybe even some laughter:
And definitely some "I'M RIGHT HERE" screams of joy.....which makes playing Hide N Seek really easy for me!
Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful SPRING weather!

Vroom Vroom.....

We've been talking about getting our big man a bed and moving him into the playroom for awhile now and suddenly I decided today was the day. I overheard him telling his stuffed animals before he fell asleep at nap time (and before I decided to get the bed today) that "it's almost ready, my car bed, it's gonna be great"....so we just had to go get it as soon as he woke up! Since we started kinda late, we ran out of time to get a twin mattress so for now he's still sleeping on his crib mattress but hopefully that'll change soon. Here he is climbing in for the first time!Yep, it was love at first sight....
I finally got the new sheets and quilt on it....
1 Little Monkey jumping on the bed....

Even though he was thrilled about his new bed, we didn't get off to a great start tonight but he only got out of it once (so far) and only cried for a few minutes so it was better than I expected. Now I have to finish decorating the room this week......hopefully.....I may choose to sleep all week while I'm off instead. I forgot how exhausting 1st trimester is!

Update: He slept through the whole night without a peep but woke up around 6:45am screaming.....I guess he realized he wasn't familiar with being in there. We'll see how tonight goes!

Weekend with the Krebbs

We all decided kinda last minute to have a weekend getaway (with kids). The guys were in charge of the plans and they did GREAT! We got up super early and headed to VA Beach to go to the Aquarium. Vince was beyond excited all morning! It was the first thing he told Tony when he got him out of bed and didn't stop talking about the aquarium, the fish, the pool, and Hannah for hours. I think they really liked seeing all the different fish......even though Vince was like a speed demon through there. He'd look at something then quickly say, "Lets go see something else"....he just wanted to see it all :)

BUT....neither one was as happy the whole day as they were right here:

Lastly, there was a scuba diver (that Vince called Diego). The kids really seemed to like him a lot.
We ate lunch and headed to our hotel...though "hotel" doesn't do this place justice. Krebbs found this amazing suite at The Kingsmill Resort with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, etc....it was awesome! After a brief rest (and failed attempt at a nap for either kid), we headed out to the Williamsburg Outlets then ate dinner at Olive Garden. We had really hoped to get the kids into the indoor pool before bed but a busy day without naps means cranky kids and early bedtimes. They did manage to get a few minutes of playtime in before bed.

We finished the wonderful getaway with lots of playtime this morning and some yummy room service for breakfast. We are so lucky to have such great friends and especially lucky that Vince and Hannah LOVE each other!

Channelling Sally Jesse Rafael

I came across these OLD pics today.....yep, that's really me...sometime in middle school. I showed it to Vince and he had no idea who it was. He didn't believe me when I told him it was me. Remind me to increase his allowance :) I'm not sure what is worse in this one: the hair, the glasses, or the ginormous shoulder pads....OH yeah and that hottie with the giant fro....me again! I know this was 6th grade....I did some Math and Science Center Space Shuttle thing, although I think my hair is the only thing defying gravity there!
Just thought I'd share and give everyone a little giggle......or huge belly laugh, whatever :)

Whatchu talking bout, Willis?

Tony and I had our first baby appointment today! Of course the ultrasound looks like a peanut but it's the cutest little peanut ever! The Dr said I'm measuring at 7 weeks (which isn't as far along as we thought) and my due date is Sept 20, 2011. Hopefully this pregnancy will be a little different and I won't get pregnancy induced hypertension (which landed me in the hospital for 3 LONG weeks on bed rest) but she assured me they are gonna watch me like a hawk.

Vince recognizes and is excited that there is a baby in my belly (but I'm not sure he understands how that's gonna change his world). He already kisses my belly and says hi to the baby. We asked him the other day what he wanted to name the baby and he said, "Willis, Willis is great." Where do kids get this stuff? So, we're gonna call the baby Willis while its in my belly......at least until we find out if we're having a girl!!!!
