4 Years of Vince

Today was Vince's 4 year check-up and I remembered that I hadn't posted pics to compare his previous birthdays.  I can't believe he's 4!  I really can't believe he'll start kindergarten next year!  I may need a mild sedative that day.....

Vince weighed in at 37lbs today (which depressed me b/c the scale at home said 33lbs....so if he's actually 4lbs heavier that means.....ugh, I don't wanna think about that).  He is 41 inches tall,  has 20/20 vision, and is a genius...ok, I may have added that last part but it doesn't make it any less true.

So far, the 4's are WAY more trying than the 2's or 3's.  He's smarter and more independent and doesn't listen very well....sounds like a fun combination, doesn't it?  Here's a typical conversation with my 4 year old:

Me: We'll go to the toy store later today.
Vince:  Is that today?
Me:  Yes, later today is today.
Vince:  Are you lying to me?
Me:  No, Vince, I'm not lying, later today is today, I promise.
Vince:  Are you sure?
Me:  I have a fun idea, how about we play the quiet game?

It's no wonder I drink wine on occasion.

No matter what, I love this boy.  He is so smart and sweet and I'm so proud of him.
