Tony and I were lucky enough to get away for a few days last week (thanks to our parents). He was at the WWDC conference (aka the Apple nerd conference) in San Francisco so I flew out at the end to join him and celebrate our 10th anniversary. He surprised me with these beautiful flowers (which I hated to leave at the hotel when we left).
We did a little shopping in Union Square and found these adorable Adidas shoes for Vince and Dominic so that they match Daddy. On the way back to the hotel, I was intrigued by this logo on a shop around the corner and the amazing smell wafting into the street. Fresh cream puffs? Sure! That sounds fantastic.....so we went in.
Holy crap, they were better than I could've imagined. The guy looked at me funny when I ordered one of each flavor.....and a few cheesecake sticks. Whatever :) These are actually from the 2nd batch we got the next day. I couldn't stop myself from devouring the first ones long enough to take a picture. Heavenly.
We cleaned up a bit (meaning I wiped the strawberry and powdered sugar off my face) and headed out to my surprise anniversary dinner at Cliff House in Ocean Beach.
Here's a view from our table.
After dinner we braved a little walk down the cliff (which was much easier than the walk back up).
So, we didn't go much farther than this sign :)
My 25 week pose:
We rented a car Friday morning and drove down the Pacific Coast. We planned to go to Monterey and/or Pebble Beach but didn't make it the whole way....still had a great time and saw some beautiful sights. Here's what most of the drive looked like......a steep cliff overlooking the ocean. So glad my dad wasn't driving, we would've ended up in the water.
Not only was the scenery beautiful, but the weather was amazing too. It was all of 67 degrees and breezy. Not your typical ocean weather for June. Thankfully we missed the heat wave back in VA.
We had to stop at this lighthouse at Pigeon Point. Isn't it gorgeous?!?!?
I couldn't believe the trip was already over. We had a great time in San Francisco. The weather is incredible and the people are so nice. Who's ready to move there with me?
Loved the pics! You have a very awesome hubby!! Glad you enjoyed yoru trip!!

ReplyDeleteYou two are so cute. :) First of all, I'm fairly certain that I can convince Rob to move to SF... Secondly, there is a Beard Papa's right by our place. Looks like I should be expecting another visit from the Zatelli's?? :)
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures, Erin! You guys seemed like you were on your honeymoon, not your 10-year anniversary trip!! Okay, minus the baby in the belly.
