THE WIGGLES

Today was the day we've been waiting for......THE WIGGLES concert! Although Vince and Hannah had no idea what was coming, Erin and I were so excited! It was a great concert and the kids had a wonderful time. I sure hope they don't expect this every time we say, "wanna go watch the Wiggles?"

Here they are outside the Carpenter Center before it started:
We're ready: (we ran into my friend Amy and her son Luke while we were "shopping" for our Wiggles gear....and ironically they were sitting just a few rows ahead of us so she took this pic)
They both have Dorothy the Dinosaur...all is right in the world:
Here comes the Big Red Car:
And Captain Feathersword: (he later came out into the audience and I wish I had a picture of Hannah's reaction.....it was priceless)

Uh oh, Jeff fell asleep again....WAKE UP JEFF!!
Dorothy the Dinosaur:

Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus:
We had so much fun! We didn't "shake our sillies out" but we did sing "rock a bye your bear", "hot potato", "fruit salad", and many many more!

ps- I haven't blogged about our trip to Busch Gardens yet b/c I took my little camera but now I can't find the cord to upload the pics (stupid sony camera not using a regular usb cord).......so hopefully I'll figure that out sometime soon :)

Silly Face

Here's a quick little video of Vince showing me his "silly face".

Big Bowl of Spaghetti

If you haven't had the sheer joy of watching Dora's Pirate Adventure let me enlighten you. There's a "singing bridge" that Dora and her friends have to get through but the silly bridge messes up the songs and Dora has to teach him the right words. Well Vince laughs his tush off every time the bridge sings "Row row row your boat gently down the stream, merrily merrily merrily merrily, life is but a bowl of spaghetti." Tonight, Vince surprised me by singing this new version.....and then making up his own messed up songs. The ABC's and Itsy Bitsy Spider will never be the same :) Enjoy!

Counting down.....

...to next week!!!! It's gonna be epic :) Since Erin K. goes back to school soon, our summertime play dates with Hannah are nearing an end AND we are NOT happy about this! To cheer ourselves up, we're gonna cram a ton of fun stuff into the next few weeks. Next week's fungenda (that should totally be a real word):

Busch Gardens Forest of Fun on Tuesday.......
AND these guys on Thursday......
That's right, we're going to see THE WIGGLES! I can't believe how excited I am. I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces when they realize that we're not just watching them on TV but live and in person!

Hopefully this work weekend will fly by so next week can start!

Stud Finder

Yes, I've already found my stud:(I love that picture! SHHHH....don't tell him it's on here! :)

But today's post is about my 2 studs finding a stud of their own. I got a coat rack (or bag rack in my case) at IKEA last weekend but with mine and Tony's illness this week, he didn't get to hang it till today. So here's daddy showing Vince how to use the stud finder.
And Vince trying it out on his own (don't you like his tool belt!):

I really just like this picture. It shows off muscles, determination, and power tools.....I'm not sure I can handle all the testosterone in my house today!
Like father, like son: (relax.....the drillbit was removed first!)
Well now at least I know that if I can't get Tony to do my "honey do" list, I'll just ask Vince :) Oh, and I realize now that I didn't even take a picture of the finished product but I will soon, I promise!

Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens

Since it's "only" supposed to be in the 90's today, the law firm (as my husband calls us....Erin and Erin....get it?) decided to take the kiddos to the Children's Garden at Lewis Ginter. We'll save story time for a hot or rainy day! They were super excited to get out and run till they couldn't run anymore.

Only in a mother's dream would this happen in real life:
They came across these hula hoops. It was funny watching them try to figure it out....it was freaking hilarious watching us try to show them :)

As if we don't have tons of sidewalk chalk at home...guess its more fun some place new.
Then we stumbled on the water play area. It sure did look cool:
Till the water came on:
That's ok, Hannah liked it!
They had to say bye bye to the water:
Then we climbed up the great big tree house (and by climb, I mean walked up the ramp):
They liked getting to sit up high and see everything down below:
Our little monkeys in their tree house:
I can NEVER get them to look at me at the same time!
And back to the water. Vince seemed more interested this time around....a little:

Soon we found the giant sand box with dinosaurs!
And he found the broom.....again.
And this is why we LOVE Hannah. You can put the girl in the cutest flowery dress and at the end of the day, she would so much rather sit in the sand.....
and play with dinosaurs.
Lastly, before our children turned into Mr. and Mrs. Hyde (thus quickly ending the trip), they played house.
Once again, I failed to get them both looking at me at the same time. Maybe another day!

Sheriff Woody

As promised, here's pics of Vince as Sheriff Woody (minus the cowboy hat). I have a feeling that we might be headed to the grocery store in this get up after he wakes up from his nap. Oh well, some battles just aren't worth fighting and this might be one of them.
